Mission Statement

As Catholics of St. Gianna Parish, in communion with our Archbishop, and our Holy Father, the Bishop of Rome, we are called by Jesus Christ to be His body, the Church, in our local community and to fully live the Gospel.

With faith, hope and charity, we strive to live our discipleship by fervent prayer, inspired worship, sound teaching, and sharing our faith with those in physical and spiritual need.

           Young Women's Faith Group
                         Emmaus Group

      Begins Tuesday, September 11, 2018

All young women, ages 18-39, are invited to join the newly formed Emmaus Group at St. Gianna Church.  An Emmaus Group is a small group program offered to young adults in the Archdiocese of St. Louis and to young women at St. Gianna.  This dynamic program is a small, faith sharing community where young adults can walk together on the journey of faith, dive into Scripture and share life with one another. 

Weekly meetings will begin with Benediction in the St. Gianna Church on Tuesday, September  11, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. and will end at 8:00 p.m.  There will be wine!!

Prayerfully consider joining our newly formed Emmaus Group and please pray for the young women of St. Gianna forming this new group.  ​Email denisebrickler@gmail.com with questions. 

​St. Gianna Pro-Life Ministry 6th Annual Trivia Night & Silent Auction

​Mark your 2018 calendar for the 6th annual St. Gianna Pro-Life Ministry Trivia Night and Silent Auction on Saturday, September 29th. "Passport Party" will be our first player's choice theme trivia night and will have great prizes, raffles, and games!
Have a spectacular evening with family and friends while helping the Meet Life  Ultrasound Campaign and pro-life outreach programs.

               First Saturday Bonfire Rosary
                           October 6, 2018
            Immediately following 5:00 p.m. Mass
               Parish Hall- Bring a Dish to Share!!

The Legion of Mary provides the main dish for the Potluck dinner that starts about 6:00 p.m.
After the dinner, we pray the Rosary around a bonfire (weather permitting) and then enjoy S'Mores.  Come learn about the "flame of love" that is spreading throughout St. Gianna Parish and beyond!!

The book, "The Great Divorce" by C.S. Lewis, is the next selection for the STG Book Club.  We will meet to discuss this selection on Tuesday, October 2, in the church office from 7:00 - 8:00 pm.  Father Elliott will join us, also.

That Man Is You

           That Man Is You
                Begins Again
           September 15, 2018
         at St. Gianna, 6:30 a.m.  

Wherever you are in life, Jesus Christ wants to meet you there, and take you further.  Whether you are a beginner or a long-practicing Catholic, this program is for you!  That Man Is You is a way to learn your faith, grow in holiness, and meet other men on the journey.  The Battle for the Bride begins on September 15th.

TRAVELING STATUE

Our Lady Undoer of Knots Legion of Mary has a traveling statue of Our Lady of Fatima available to any family who would like to schedule a visit. Sign up sheets are on the table in the vestibule of the church or you can call Nancy Battis at 636-751-6147.
PRAYER SHAWLS
Blessed Prayer Shawls are now available at St. Gianna’s thanks to Immaculate Conception Dardenne. If you or someone you know is in need of consolation, healing, guidance, prayers and deliverance from afflictions, please call the parish office, 636-327-3639 to request a shawl. Please provide the name of the prayer shawl recipient so that it can be added to ICD’s book of recipients for continuous prayers. Donations are welcome for the shawls. A typical donation is between $15 - $20.
