Mission Statement

As Catholics of St. Gianna Parish, in communion with our Archbishop, and our Holy Father, the Bishop of Rome, we are called by Jesus Christ to be His body, the Church, in our local community and to fully live the Gospel.

With faith, hope and charity, we strive to live our discipleship by fervent prayer, inspired worship, sound teaching, and sharing our faith with those in physical and spiritual need.

        Rectory Open House
         Pot Luck Luncheon

September 24, 2017   Come see the new rectory, learn about all the parish organizations and get to know your fellow parishioners.  The Pot Luck  Luncheon and Festival of Ministries will be held in the Parish Hall immediately after the 11:00 a.m. Mass.  For the luncheon, bring a side dish and the meat and drinks will be provided.  Rectory tours will be organized starting in the Parish Hall.  Call the parish office for information- 636-327-3639.

This Man Is You

This Man Is You is an ongoing program at St. Gianna.  Plan to attend the meetings at 6:30 am on the next Saturdays in the Parish Hall.

Remember this is another wonderful opportunity for the men of our parish to grow in their faith.  
It is provided by the same ministry that brought you The Choice Wine series which was incredibly popular and well attended.

"TV Buzz" will be our first television theme trivia night and will have great prizes, raffles, and games!

The book, Jesus of Nazerth, by Joseph Ratzinger, Pope Benedict XVI, is the next selection for the book club.  Read Chapters 1-6 for the upcoming meeting.  The November meeting, November 7, we will discuss Chapters 7-10.
The next meeting is Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 7:00 P.M. in the parish office to discuss Chapters 1-6 of our book.

           Immaculee Retreat
           December 8 & 9

St. Gianna Parish will host world renowned speaker Immaculee Ilibagiza.  The retreat starts at 5 pm on Friday, December 8, with doors opening at 4 pm to allow for seating.  The cost of the event, including both days is $57 per person, or $76 for two people.  You may preregister online at https:www.immaculee.com/collections/retreats.

The retreat will run from 5-9 pm on Friday with Holy Mass at 9 pm.  It resumes at 8:30 am on Saturday, concluding at 12:30.

Today's Liturgy


Our Lady Undoer of Knots Legion of Mary has a traveling statue of Our Lady of Fatima available to any family who would like to schedule a visit. Sign up sheets are on the table in the vestibule of the church or you can call Nancy Battis at 636-751-6147.
Blessed Prayer Shawls are now available at St. Gianna’s thanks to Immaculate Conception Dardenne. If you or someone you know is in need of consolation, healing, guidance, prayers and deliverance from afflictions, please call the parish office, 636-327-3639 to request a shawl. Please provide the name of the prayer shawl recipient so that it can be added to ICD’s book of recipients for continuous prayers. Donations are welcome for the shawls. A typical donation is between $15 - $20.
