Who We Are

As Catholics of St. Gianna Parish, in communion with our Archbishop, and our Holy Father, the Bishop of Rome, we are called by Jesus Christ to be His body, the Church, in our local community and to fully live the Gospel.

With faith, hope and charity, we strive to live our discipleship by fervent prayer, inspired worship, sound teaching, and sharing our faith with those in physical and spiritual need.

Bible Study sessions for the week of January 19th, 2015, include the study of Chapter 10.

Monday morning's session is facilitated by JoAnn Conti, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Wednesday evening session, regularly led by Ryan Slattery, with Ken Pop as co-leader, begins at 7:00p.m. Both sessions last about 1 hour and involve group discussion of the next chapter of the book. Babysitting is available for both sessions.

You can obtain the book, Understanding The Scriptures, for purchase online, in new and used form, for anywhere from $20-$50, on several websites, i.e., Amazon.com, lighthousecatholicmedia.com, alibris.com, Abebooks.com, ignatius.com, etc. Couples may share the hardback book. (The accompanying workbook is not needed.) A Catholic Bible is also needed for reference.

Bring your books, notes and questions to the session. Be prepared for a lively discussion along with getting to know your fellow parishioners. May the Holy Spirit inspire our study!

Our next meeting will be next year, April 7, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., in the office area of the church. The book selection will be announced around the beginning of March. Fr. Elliott is always a part of our group. Hope you can join us.
